Nurse Practitioners

Sister Annie Johnson (f)

Annie is our Nurse Practitioner and assists the Doctors with providing a daily Triage clinic.

Annie is also our Diabetic Nurse Speciailist.

 

Annie works in the practice Full time.

Specialist Nurses

Mrs Kirsten Shedden (f)

Kirsten is one of our Occupational Health Nurse who assist Dr Gill, Dr Patel and Dr Kerr in providing a private Occupational Health Service to a variety of local companies and organisations.

Nurses

The doctors have employed their own nurses for well over 20 years. Their role has expanded over the years and now includes monitoring clinics for diabetes, asthma and hypertension; well woman clinics (includes family planning advice, pill checks and hormone replacement); childhood and travel vaccinations; and new patient medicals.
Nurse Emma Coombs (f)

Emma joined us in March 2012. She has a split role which involves general Treatment Room duties and clinics. 

Emma is also invovled with the Occupational Health side of the practice.

Emma is Full-time. 

Nurse Jo England (f)

Jo has been with the practice since 2005.  Her special expertise is in the management of Leg Ulcer Dressings and Learning Disability Reviews as well as all the other Treatment Room duties and clinics.

Jo works part time.

Nurse Alison Edwards (f)
Alison is our Asthma/COPD lead nurse.  She works part time.
Nurse Karen Ramshaw (f)

Karen joined us in February 2012.  Her role is primarily General Treatment Room clinics plus Asthma clinics. 

Karen works part time.

Healthcare Assistants

We have a trained HCSW to run new patient check, blood pressure and other minor clinics.
Mrs Nicky Main (f)
Nicky joined us in November, 2011. Her role is to provide Phlebotomy services alongside Julie and also to run a Blood Pressure and ECG clinic.

Phlebotomists

The doctors employ a specially trained person, part-time, to take blood samples at the surgery. Although this service is available to all patients, at busy times you may be asked to go to Cosham Health Centre, unless you are elderly or infirm.
Mrs Julie Ettienne (f)

Julie joined us as a receptionist a few years ago but has now developed her role tand took over when our Phlebotomist retired at the end of December 2011.

Julie's role will be developed further in the coming months to include Vit B12 injections and in the autumn - flu vaccinations.

PATIENT INFORMATION KIOSK

We have a new Patient Information Kiosk in the waiting room - It is an interactive touchscreen which has internet access and is for patients use.

You can access information about the practice, access medical information on the internet, give feedback about the care provided to you by the Doctors and Nurses and leave any other comments you would like.  Please do have a go - it is very easy to use and if you have any problems just ask the receptionist to assist you.

Dr Surridge is back !

We are delight to announce that Dr Surridge has returned from Maternity leave and is now available on Tuesdays AM & PM, Wednesday AM and Thursday AM.

We are very pleased to announce that      Dr Seema Karim will be joining us in early February 2013. 
Dr Karim will be with us until September 2013 and is training to be a GP.  We hope you will join us in making her feel welcome.
Dr Phillips is leaving us at the end of Janaury but will be returning again in August, 2013.
