We have joined the rest of the Portsmouth practices and close the surgery on one Wednesday afternoon each month, to enable the whole practice team to attend training as part of an initiative which is organised/facilitated by the local NHS Trust. These training sessions are called TARGET sessions.
There are notices on the main entrance doors of the practice giving the dates affected and we will also be adding the dates for the closures to this website.
On these days we will be closing from 1pm and will not re-open the doors until 8:15am the following morning. The telephone lines will be opened at 08:00am each weekday morning.
There will of course be cover for any medical emergency which may arise.
At all times when the surgery is closed:
For URGENT MEDICAL EMERGENCIES please call 999.
For all non emergency queries which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens please call 111. This is a free service from both landlines and mobiles. Alternatively you could follow this link for more information about the services which may be able to help:
It is NOT possible to leave messages on the main surgery telephone number.
Current Planned Closure Dates for TARGET training sessions:
Weds 24th January 2018
Weds 28th February 2018
Weds 28th March 2018
These dates may need to be revised due to unforeseen circumstances and will be updated as and when required.
Notices will be placed in main reception and on the main doors of the practice closer to the dates to reminder all patients of the closure.
