Antenatal Clinic
Times can vary, please check with reception.

Well Woman Clinic
For family planning, contraceptive advice, cervical smears and breast examinations, HRT checks and advice.

Child Health Surveillance
Babies' six to eight week check at the time of postnatal. Developmental clinic at eight months (arranged by the health visitor).

Check Clinic
Run by our health care worker which incorporates new patient medicals, BP checks, ECGs, tympanometry.

Childhood Vaccination Clinic
Run by our nurses on Tuesdays 2.00 to 4.00pm.

Minor Surgery
Performed by Dr Drake and Dr Patel.  Procedures will include joint/muscular injections, excisions, incisions, aspirations, cryotherapy and cautery.

Travel Clinic
Run by our specialist practice nurses.

Influenza Vaccination Clinic
Yearly in October/November for all patients at risk, eg patients over 65 or patients with respiratory or heart conditions, asthmatics, diabetics etc.

Pneumovax
This is for the same category of patients who receive the flu vaccination and is usually a once only vaccination. Appointments are bookable with the nurse.   

Test Results

If suggested by the doctor, the results of certain tests may be obtained by telephoning, or calling in person, after 2pm on weekdays.

Please call on (023) 92 370422. The doctor will leave a message if he needs to see you to discuss the result.

Teenage Friendly

We provide a confidential service to all our patients, including under 16s.

You can request to see a Doctor on your own (or with a friend)  as long as you are capable of understanding the treatment the Doctor feels is necessary.

This means that while you can tell others about this visit, we won’t.

We are here to listen, not to tell .

The only reason why we might have to consider passing on confidential information, without your permission, would be to protect you or someone else from very serious harm. We would always try to discuss this with you first.

Nurse Minor Illness Clinics

Often an appointment to see the doctor is not absolutely necessary. Our nurses are highly trained and are more than capable of performing routine checks for blood pressure, HRT, pill repeats etc in their clinics. If the nurse cannot deal with your particular probelm she can access the Triage Doctor if she feels it is appropriate.

Many minor illnesses can easily be dealt with at home if advice is sought from the local pharmacist.

Overseas Visitors

Overseas visitors who require "emergency medical treatment" are entitled to free medical care whether or not they are resident in this country. However, we are not required to provide non-emergency /routine / ongoing treatment for these visitors and, if accepted, a fee will be charged if appropriate.
